A² · square, reversal, sum, and palindrome patterns
Created by Inder J. Taneja
factor A
substring/insertion digits
palindrome
A single seed A grows each step, and the pattern detectors run on A² (A×A) instead of a product of separate factors.
Three pattern types are checked: substring (result contains previous result), insertion
(same digits inserted at regular positions each step), and palindrome (A² itself reads the same
forwards and backwards at every step — the classic case being repunits: 11²=121, 111²=12321, 1111²=1234321...).
Interval — scan a range of seeds
Checks substring, insertion, and palindrome patterns across a range of seeds. Click "Show interval results" to generate.
Mirror patterns — paired reversals and palindromic sums
Compare a seed with its digit-reversal. Each row shows the two squares and their sum; the paired family is marked when the square digits mirror one another.
Palindromic square search
Search a seed range for square chains that remain palindromic.
